MARIA SABATA DA GRAÇA JULIO (Maputo, Mozambique, 1963)
Graça Julio is a jurist by profession, but she has also been participating for twenty-three years as Coordinator of the Gender-based violence Programme in the Fórum Mulher (Women’s Forum), a network of organisations which work in favour of women’s human rights. She understands the context in Mozambique and works to nip the problem in the bud. Through the Fórum Mulher, she offers specific assistance, listening to the particular needs of women and children.

Violence knows no borders, it has no colour, no social class. It doesn’t matter if you are upper, middle or lower class, all of us, all women, are susceptible to suffering violence.
