ENIA LIPANGA (Maputo, Mozambique)
Enia Lipanga is an activist and singer. In her lyrics she talks about domestic violence, education and inequality, as well as about other social issues. As a feminist, she fights for women’s rights, determined to bring about change in the way men see things and in society. She educates her children to be equal and to show respect because she knows that, by educating a new generation, the situation of Mozambique can change. She works to raise awareness in people regarding the problems of society and to do it, she uses music and poetry.

We raised the woman to be a wife and the man to protect the family, to provide for the family. That’s a mistake; if we educate the woman to be the leader, she will be the leader.
